Kindergarten
Rebecca Evans

Hi there! My name is Rebecca Evans, and I am proud to be in my eleventh year of teaching Kindergarten at Fennell Elementary. I hold an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina and a master’s degree in Educational Administration and Leadership from Columbia College.
Teaching kindergarten is truly my passion. It is a joyful and energetic environment filled with growth, discovery, and excitement. I value the important role kindergarten plays in launching each child’s educational journey, and I am committed to helping my students build a strong foundation for future success.
I believe that meaningful collaboration among teachers, students, and families is essential in supporting each child’s individual needs. By fostering strong relationships, maintaining high expectations, and providing consistent support, I strive to create a learning environment where every student can thrive and develop a love for learning that will help them reach their fullest potential.
Shelia Griffin

Hello! My name is Shelia Griffin, and I have been a kindergarten paraprofessional for fifteen years at Fennell Elementary. I have worked alongside four teachers during my time here and helping little people grow is my passion. I love working with kindergarten students because they are like sponges, ready to soak up knowledge that will help them be successful along their educational journeys.
I am a proud mom of 3 and grandmother to 4. I enjoy reading and playing scrabble. I love teaching because I get a joy out of helping others. The moment the lightbulb comes on, I see the joy of students lighting up. I believe everyone deserves to be given an opportunity to learn. Every child needs a different level of nourishment in order to grow, and I enjoy being able to help children flourish. At the end of each day, if I have helped just one child, I know that I have helped to make our world just a little brighter.
